A Message from the Courtyard: Friday Reflections
Hey friends,
I barely slept last night. Jesus was arrested at dawn and is heading for Pilate today. I can’t stop seeing Him teaching by the sea just days ago—calming the wind, then raising Lazarus like it was nothing.
Now John says the Sanhedrin wants Him to deny who He is. I’m terrified He might throw down lines like “My Father’s army could crush yours” or “I am the Son of God.” If they really nail Him to a cross, it’ll be the biggest letdown I’ve ever felt. All our hope of kicking Rome out feels like it’s slipping away.
Peter told me to lie low—and deny knowing Jesus if anyone asks. I’m holed up in a quiet room, every noise makes my heart race.
This morning I peeked at John’s house and saw Mary, Mary, Mary, and the other Mary, all crying together. They’ll probably follow Him to Golgotha, desperate to see what happens next.
I’m sending this so you know what’s happening—and that I’m here with you in all this chaos. Keep your heads down today, watch out for each other, and let’s check in once things calm down. I’ve never needed you more.
Stay safe,
Fellipe
