An evangelical pastor, famous in the city where I lived, just posted on Twitter: Stop admiring the Pope!!! Nothing has changed, the Pope continues to be a Pagan Idolater!!!
He also speaks about how it “hurts his heart” the idolatrous nation we have (all this from seeing the Pope kiss an image).
Well, dear pastor, know that our nation is indeed Catholic, and unfortunately has been becoming more and more evangelical, less Christian, and much more idolatrous.
We exchanged our images for “mega preachers and gospel singers,” our amulets for “anointed objects,” our patuás (folk charms) for “oil of anointing brought from Israel,” and even the way we distribute “passe” (a spiritualist blessing) for catchy and lying phrases like “I am releasing the anointing.”
We are more and more evangelical and every day less just. We are more and more evangelical and every day more murderous, thieving, manipulative, corrupt.
Sorry to disappoint you, dear pastor, but your church does not carry the truth. You don’t have a permit to be the only house to worship God, much less the last portal to heaven.
The evangelical church, as it is called in Brazil’s hinterlands, is the greatest cancer of our nation. We sell a canned Jesus, manipulative, selfish, stone-throwing, owner of the truth, and miracle-working.
We ask of the people 21-day fasts, but we forget that what God wants is care for widows and orphans.
We “use” the Holy Spirit in congresses and trips around the country to “preach the word,” but we don’t pray for our sick neighbor, for our child’s friend at school.
We preach to thousands through the internet daily, but we mercilessly fail at the human salvation of our neighborhood.
We want to win the world for Christ, but not even we ourselves are His. We don’t act with grace, love, mercy.
We don’t sit at a table if there is someone smoking, we don’t go to a bar on a friend’s birthday because it isn’t a holy place.
Jesus was not like that. I see in this pastor the same blind and petty attitude of many homosexuals.
Some hope the Pope will go totally crazy and say that being homosexual is “Catholic.”
Others hope the Pope will go totally crazy and say that any image of a saint is from the devil.
It is so much pettiness, a fight to be the “owner of the TRUTH,” a lack of CONSISTENCY in the preaching, a DIFFERENCE in WEIGHTS and measures of judgment…
ON CONSISTENCY: These same people who accuse the Pope say they respect and love Catholics, homosexuals, but at times they lack respect for the most “sacred” things to them. But woe, woe to whoever speaks ill of a bunch of people speaking in tongues without understanding each other inside a meeting after midnight.
ON DIFFERENT WEIGHTS These same people who accuse the Pope let Sonia, Hernanes, Malafaia, Feliciano, René TerraNova go unpunished…
ON TRUTH We have a choice: Do we want to be ruled by the Stone or by Grace?
- If by the Stone, we will stone each other for our sins, and the last one stones himself;
- If by grace, we will hug each other. I embrace your flaws, you embrace mine, and together we seek in God a better humanity.
May God enlighten us and have mercy on us.
The Evangelicals who are admiring the Pope, are you sure about this? Look at this. Nothing changed, he is still an idolater, a pagan.

With this, I see how much work we have in this nation that is still 60% idolatrous and pagan. We have to go back to preaching against idolatry and paganism.
