Loose Thoughts

What child doesn’t wish to be an adult? What adult doesn’t wish to be a child.

Why do we always desire what we cannot have? Why do we want freedom and independence and then want stability and security?

As a child I thought the next weekend would always be there. It would always be a lunch at grandma’s house and a long 13km bus ride back home.

Have you ever wished to program the next Christmas to be like the ones that have already passed and will never happen again?

Have you ever had a birthday and said: Wow, when I “met” my dad he was this age?

Can you remember your dad at the age you are today? He was so strong, so much older, so big… and you today are still the same boy.

When they look at me, do I look like a man? You know, every time I look in the mirror, I’m still me — the man is the guy selling something at the bakery. As grandma used to say: “Go there and ask the man for another dozen eggs, boy.”

Isn’t it strange to see that your dad is the same age as your grandfather, when your grandfather was super old and you thought you were an adult at 10 years old?

Who plans on spending 1 year far from all family?

Why does fog exist? The Sky is so much more beautiful when you can see the sun.

Dolphins are beautiful and it’s fantastic to know that there are great white sharks less than 10 miles from my balcony — except when I’m in the sea surfing.

It would be so much easier to be a believer if faith weren’t required. Against facts, there are no arguments.

Faith is the certainty of things we have never seen.

Life is what happens while we are planning life.

Friends are missed greatly.

Never waste an afternoon coffee with your parents and/or grandparents. You never know when the next will be.

Hug your sister tight when you can.

Smile a lot, and watch the sunset whenever you can.

Why is crying so hard?
