I have an idea for Churches that want to “fight homosexuality.”
How about investing time in protecting marriages. Investing time in encouraging men to be such good fathers and passionate husbands that their daughters dream of “having” a man like them.
How about investing quality time so that couples understand each other, speak the same language, and so the kids can look and want a marriage like theirs.
The current “brilliant idea” of the church is to come down hard on homosexuality, forgetting the high rate of adultery and separations that happen inside the church itself. Forgetting the high number of girls who say: ”– A husband like my dad?!? Never!”
Maybe that way, when we can offer something more interesting, we won’t even need to point fingers here or there. Maybe being the difference we want to see in the world is already enough to see a different world.
My idea is just a copy of the master’s idea, who said: Before you look at the splash of tomato sauce on your friend’s shirt you should look at those clothes of yours all muddy with sin.
